Royal Colombo Golf Club President’s Cup 2023

 Seasoned golfer Jayalath Perera showing outstanding performances across various divisions won the Overall segment with a score of 133 Nett. Perera’s remarkable consistency throughout the tournament earned him well-deserved recognition at the Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC), President’s Cup which took place at their club course in Borella recently.

Ranil Pieris clinched the title of Overall Runner Up with a commendable score of 139. Pieris’ resilience and skill were evident as he navigated the challenging course, demonstrating a commendable level of proficiency.

In the Gross division, Sachin De Silva emerged as the Overall Gross Winner, showcasing exemplary precision and technique to finish with a score of 141 Gross. Sachin’s mastery of the game was on full display as he tackled the course with finesse and expertise, winning after some time.

The Masters Division saw Anura Somaratne emerge victorious with a remarkable score of 69 Nett, securing the title of Division Winner. Inderjit Fernando displayed commendable skill to secure the Runner Up position with a score of 70 Nett, showcasing the competitive spirit that defines the sport.

In the Seniors Division, Suresh Amarasekera stood out with an outstanding score of 63 Nett, claiming the title of Division Winner. Dr. D. Saparamadu showcased resilience and determination to secure the Runner Up position with a score of 72 Nett, demonstrating that age is no barrier to success on the golf course.

The Ladies Division witnessed another fine performance from Jade Jiggens, who claimed the title of Division Winner with a remarkable score of 66 Nett. Fran De Mel showcased commendable skill and tenacity to secure the Runner Up position with a score of 69 Nett, underscoring the growing prominence of women in the sport.

Deanath Kulathunga and Adam Fernando were honoured for their exceptional performances, securing the titles of 1st Day Best Nett Winner and 2nd Day Best Nett Winner respectively. Their skill and dedication were evident as they navigated the challenges of the course with precision and poise.
