Joes out to continue winning streak

Joes, who had a close call against Science in their opener, will be in Kandy today (8 March) when they lock horns with the Katugastota Antonians at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium.

Antonians, too, had a poor start for the season, when they were outclassed by Isipathana in the opener away in Colombo.

Antonians, led by Makarim, will be at their best playing in front of the home crowd, which could be divided due to their Big Match at Katugastota on the same day. They have some top class players, such as Isuru Ariyapala, Ruvan Amarasinghe, and Zuhail Wazeem in their ranks. Joes will be led by Tharindu De Alwis, with Santhush Algama to support the Joes outfit with the kicking duties. Once again, the game boils down to two brothers who are coaching the two outfits. Joes coached by Nilfer Ibraahim, while Ronny Ibrahim is in charge of the Antonians. Joes hold the edge in this encounter. Referee:  Ishanka Abeykoon
