President’s Trophy 2017 winners St. Joseph’s College will tour South Africa on 16 October in preparation for the schools rugby season, which will kick off in February 2018.
The one-week tour will see the Colombo school play two school teams and engage in a training camp in Durban under the supervision of the Investec Rugby Academy.
The school’s coaching unit said that there are around 21 players in the touring squad who can play next year and this would be good preparation for them ahead of next season. They added that this was a talented outfit and this tour would offer the players “good exposure”.
