Kandy District Cricket Association (KDCA) headed by Roland Perera and Secretary Janaka Pathirana continued their yeoman service through Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) when they handed over matting and side wickets to little-known Kandy schools. The event took place at their Kandy office recently.

Side wickets were awarded to Swarnajothi National School, Dheerananda Maha Vidyalaya, Mahaweli Secondary School, Peradeniya Central College, D.B. Wijethunga National School and Hewaheta Central College.  Meanwhile, Police ground, Prison ground, Wickramabahu Central College, D.B. Wijethunga National School, Peradeniya Central College and Hewaheta Central College were given matting for their ground usage.
