Kamindu Mendis to lead President’s XI against Pakistan

Middle-order batsman Kamindu Mendis will lead a SLC President’s XI against the touring Pakistan team in a two-day warm-up match commencing today at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium.

The team comprises four Test players namely Kamindu Mendis, wicket-keeper Niroshan Dickwella, opening bat Oshada Fernando and left-arm spinner Praveen Jayawickrama.

This will be Pakistan’s only side game before they commence a two-Test series against Sri Lanka at Galle from 16 July.
