The Central Province Inter School Under-19 cricket tournament 2021 which was to be commenced today in Kandy will be postponed to a later date either in end March or early April.
This is due to the Inter-School limited over encounter which will commence from 13 March. This was disclosed at a media briefing held at the KDCA office.
Group A will consist teams from Trinity College, Kingwood College, Dharmaraja College and Sri Sumangala College while Group B will have Vidyartha College, St Anthony’s College, Sri Rahula College and St. Sylvester’s College.
The winners and runners-up will be presented with trophies, and there will be awards for Player of the Tournament, Man of the Match, Best Batsman, Bowler, and Fielder. Dates for the two semi-finals and final will be decided in the near future. Singer Sri Lanka has come forward to sponsor the event.
