KDCA handing over cricket items to leading clubs

The Kandy District Cricket Association (KDCA) headed by Roland Perera distributed cricket goods for leading clubs in the Central Province at their Executive Committee meeting, which took place at their Headquarters at the Asgiriya Stadium.
Speaking at the media briefing, KDCA Secretary Janaka Pathirana, said “Division 3 tournaments, T20, six a side and the qualifying matches are organized and delayed due to COVID-19. Once the health authorities and Government gives approval we will commence these matches.”
KDCA President Roland Perera said, “Training for both umpires and scorers will be done in the near future as we are in need of more number from Central Province.” He further said that the Pallekele Prisons ground has already been booked for the Division 3 matches. Each of the 20 leading clubs received cricket goods from KDCA at this event. Tournament Director Malcolm Perera briefed all Clubs on the draw for the Division III which will take place soon after the Government and health authorities’ approval. All the matches will be played at the Prisons Ground in Pallekele.
