Kandy SC to host Army SC at Nittawela today

Defending League Champions, Kandy Sports Club led by Nigel Ratwatte, will host Army Sports Club today at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium in a warm-up encounter before the kick-off of the season.

Kandy SC, being without Sevens rugby and a majority of their forwards either having moved clubs or left for overseas, will be in a team building process this season and this will be a good tester for young players such as Yakoob Ali and Praveen Charles.

Cargills will be Kandy SC's exclusive sponsors for the 2021/2022 rugby season.

This encounter will be played behind closed doors due to the strict health guidelines in the country.
