Kandy and Colombo to lock horns in second leg

The second leg of the Under-19 encounter between Kandy and Colombo to select players to the national pool for the Asian Under-19 Rugby Championship, which will take place in Taipei, will be held at the Air Force grounds in Ratmalana on 20 October.

Colombo edged out Kandy 14-12 in a thriller in Nittawela a week ago. There are some class acts in the Colombo outfit such as Ifham Fareed, Janidu Dilshan, Gemunu Chethiya, Dyan Sabar and Tharindu De Alwis. Kandy too possess extremely skilled players such as Vishwa Ranaraja, Mohamed Shabeer and Ishara Liyanage. (SJ)
