Kandy Sports Club will be out to continue their unbeaten run when they face the gutsy Soldiers at their hosting their Nittawela Rugby Stadium today (21 December).
Kick-off is at 3.45 p.m. Both teams remain unbeaten as at date.
Kandy SC under Sooriyabandara had a good start for the season when they handed off the debutants for A division rugby, Sri Lions in a 60 plus score.
Kandy SC once again will not take things lightly after losing out the league to CR last season. Kandy got the best three quarter line among clubs without any doubt with experience and class under their belt. Soori. Nigel, Tari, Ranjan and Kavindu all on top so far this season. Even in the forwards line they are having a great start so far. They are coached by Fazil Marija with Henry Terence their forwards coach with Kapila Silva once again managing the outfit.
Meanwhile Army SC led by Nalaka Maduranga possess some top class players under their rank. Sudaraka Dikkumbura experience will be vital for their back line. Their game against Cops was stopped after the initial half where the Army outfit were leading 8/5. A decision on this is yet to be given by Sri Lanka Rugby. Army SC is once again coached by hard working, Shamli Nawas. Referee will be Gihan Yatawara.

Head Coach: Fazil Marija.
Army SC comprises: Buddi Sreemantha, Chalika Sandaruwan, Mohamed Akram, Nalaka Maduranga (Capt), Supun Maduranga, Kaveen Perera, Lashitha Kavinda, Subodha Samarakoon, Wasantha Kumarasinghe, Ashan Bandara, Dilshan Jayasundera, Dhanushka Talwatte, Lahiru Ratnayake, Manoj Kumara and Sudharaka Dikkumbura. Head Coach: Shamli Nawas.
At Ratmalana Air Force will host Havies both teams playing their second game for the season. Both teams remain unbeaten so far.
