Kanrich Finance ‘B’ beat CDB in MCA ‘C’ Division 50-over finals

Kanrich Finance ‘B’ emerged champions in the Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) ‘C’ Division 50-over League Tournament, sponsored by Prestige Automobile Ltd. and played for the BMW-Hyundai Trophy, by beating Citizens Development Business Finance Plc (CDB) by 23 runs in the tournament finals held at the MCA cricket grounds recently. 

Kanrich set a target of 214 runs for CDB to chase but they scored only 179 in 42.5 overs before Kanrich won the encounter by 23 runs through the Duckworth-Lewis method as the match had to be stopped due to bad weather.Kanrich Finance, who batted first after winning the toss, scored 213 runs in 49.2 overs with Kasun Chamara scoring 69 runs and Shashika Fernando striking 63 runs while Uditha Malshan and Tharushan Iddamalgoda bagged three and two wickets for them respectively.
