Kaya Daluwatta showed some top class golf by maintaining her lead on day 2 with an impressive gross score of 144 end of day 2 at the Thai Singha World Junior Golf Championship which took place in Thailand yesterday.
The young Sri Lankan golfer holds a slim one-shot lead over Vietnam’s Chuc An Lee, who is in second place as the tournament progresses in to its day 3 today.
In the boys’ individual event, the two Sri Lankan golfers, Jacob Norton and Reshan Algama, demonstrated marked improvement compared to their performances on day 1. Norton climbed into the top half of the leader-board, landing in 12th place with a gross score of 159, while Algama closely followed in 15th place with a score of 161. Their enhanced performances have opened a pathway for both players to aim for a top 10 finish in the upcoming rounds. On the leader-board, the Boys segment saw N. Sichapthiran from Thailand making headlines as he surged to the top with an overall score of 1 under 143.
Today it will be day 3 as the game will end on day 4.
