Killer Whale and Visaka stamped their class in National Swimming 2018
Killer Whale Aquatics Club and Visakha Vidyalaya stamped their class at the 2018 Swimming Nationals which concluded at the Sugathadasa Indoor Swimming Pool Complex recently.
Defending champions, Killer Whale Aquatics collected 251 points followed by Ananda with 171 points and Gateway College secured third place with 120 points. In the Girls’ event, Visakha Vidyalaya collected 272 points to win the event where Mahamaya College he defending champions could collect only 171 points. Lyceum International School, Wattala took the third place with 116 points.
Nalanda College and Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya won the Junior Boys’ and Girls’ event.
Nalanda accounted for 171 points while in the second spot went to the Peterites with 127.50 points, third place was for the Joes with St. Joseph’s College with 117 points.
In the Girls’ section, Sirimavo Bandaranaike won the title with 160 points while Lyceum International School, Wattala came second with 157 points and St. Bridget’s Convent took the third spot with 105 points. (SJ)
