One of the classy golfers and consistent performer in the Hill Country, Kusal Johnpillai continued his dominance at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC) Club Championship 2022 which took place last weekend at their club course in Nuwara Eliya.

Kusal accumulated a score of 157 on both days while another veteran in the golf field, Suhaib Sangani was runner-up with 164 points at the Club Championship event. Kusal also was in top form winning the Annual Gold Medal award which was given for the Best Gross score on day 1. He had a score of 76 points.

Suhaib Sangani (A), Kaiyan Johnpillai (B), Rohan Amirthiah (C) and Dr. Amunugama (Masters) won their respective segments in the Net events. There were more than 80 golfers teed off in the three-day annual event which started off with the Graham Sinclair Cup and continued with Annual Gold Medal and ended with the main event the Club Championship.
