The Group B match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in the ongoing ACC Under-19 Asia Cup at Sharjah was called off after 32.4 overs when it was found that an on-field umpire and the third umpire had tested COVID positive.
The tests were done on Monday evening and the PCR reports on the umpires arrived yesterday as the match was in progress. The tests on both teams had negative reports.
Bangladesh invited to bat first by Sri Lanka had scored 130-4 when the match was deemed a No Result with the two teams sharing two points.
