Laos to host

• Asia Rugby Under-20 Sevens 2019

Laos Rugby Union (LRU) will host the Asia Rugby Under-20 Sevens for the year 2019 at the Vientiane Chao Vong Stadium on 24-25 August.

This is the first time the tournament will take place in Laos. Earlier this event was organised in tandem by the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union (HKRFU). This year’s event will see both the Men’s and Women’s event taking place with 12 teams each for both segments.

Sri Lanka won this segment in 2016 under Kevin Dixon and later on ended on number 2 the following year. Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR) is expected to name the initial pool soon for the final tour squad of 12 players which will be made in mid-August 2019.
