The 2022 LPL final between Jaffna Kings and Colombo Stars


Last year’s finalists Jaffna Kings and Colombo Stars will kick-off the fourth edition of the Lanka Premier League 2023 when they meet at the R. Premadasa Stadium under lights on 30 July commencing 7.30 p.m.

The next four games scheduled at this venue will be double headers on 31 July and 1 August.

The tournament schedule released by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) sees the first five matches being played at the R. Premadasa Stadium before moving to Pallekele for the next eight matches which will take place from 4-8 August – all be double headers. The first match commences at 3 p.m. followed by the second at 7.30 p.m.

Action returns to the R. Premadasa Stadium from 11 August till the final on 20 August where a total of 11 matches are scheduled.

  • 30 July: Jaffna v Colombo, 7.30 p.m.
  • 31 July: Galle v Dambulla, 3 p.m., Kandy v Colombo, 7.30 p.m.
  • 1 August: Dambulla v Jaffna, 3 p.m., Galle v Kandy, 7.30 p.m.



At Pallekele Cricket Stadium, Kandy

  • 4 August: Colombo v Galle, 3 p.m., Dambulla v Jaffna, 7.30 p.m.
  • 5 August: Galle v Kandy, 3 pm, Jaffna v Colombo, 7.30 pm
  • 7 August: Kandy v Dambulla, 3 p.m., Galle v Jaffna, 7.30 p.m.
  • 8 August: Colombo v Dambulla, 3p.m., Kandy v Jaffna, 7.30 p.m.



At R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo

  • 11 August: Dambulla v Galle, 7.30 p.m.
  • 12 August: Jaffna v Kandy, 3 p.m., Dambulla v Colombo, 7.30 p.m.
  • 13 August: Jaffna v Galle, 3 p.m., Colombo v Kandy, 7.30 p.m.
  • 14 August: Kandy v Dambulla, 7.30 p.m.
  • 15 August: Colombo v Galle, 7.30 p.m.
  • 17 August: Qualifier 1 (1 v 2), 3 p.m., Eliminator (3 v 4), 7.30 p.m.
  • 19 August: Qualifier 2 (loser QF1 v winner E), 7.30 p.m.
  • 20 August: Final, 7. 30 p.m.
  • 21 August: Reserve Day
