Persistent rain forced a ‘No Result’ in the two SLC Major Limited Over matches played at Police Park – Bambalapitiya and Katunayake yesterday.

The highlight on the rain-restricted day was the bowling of Madawa Warnapura, son of the late Bandula Warnapura – Sri Lanka’s first Test captain, who took 4/39 runs with his off-breaks for Negombo CC against Nugegoda at Katunayake.
