Lavanga appointed Captain at Kandy SC

Former Kingswood, national player and present Sumangala Head Coach, Lavanga Perera will lead Kandy Sports Club in their 2023/2024 rugby season which is expected to commence in November 2023.                                        His appointment will be made at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is expected to take place at their Club House in Nittawela on 30 July . 

Kick off is at 10 am.   Former Royalist Sarath Perera is expected to take over the Presidentcy from Mahesh Weerasinghe who has done a yeoman service for the century plus year old club. Leslie de Soysa is expected to be new Trustee in place of Malik Samarawickrema. Ranjith Page will continue in tandem as the Patron of the Club. Hard working former Trinitian, Sujeewa Liyanage will continue as the Secretary of the club.                                      Former Rajans and national player Indrajith Bandaranayake and Priyantha Ekanayake both will be made Honorary Life Members.
