A school with lot of rich history of rugby in late 90s and early 2000’s is poised to make a comeback with their Under-14 outfit becoming champions at the recently concluded All Island Under-14 10 a side rugby tournament beating science College in the grand final at the Sugathadasa Stadium.
Thomians beat Piliyandala Central 27/0, Kandy Sri Rahula 36/0, Isipathana 17/7, Thurstan 22/0, Royal 14/5 and Science 12/5 in the grand Final. Lads from Mount conceded only 3 tries in the whole tournament while scoring 128 points out of their 6 encounters.
Thomians last won the Under-13 in 2014.
