MCA Committee Veterans vs Colonel Henry Steel Olcott Memorial Sports Foundation contest on Saturday

  • Two teams vie for Bandula Warnapura Memorial Challenge Trophy in T20 red-ball Cricket Encounter

The Mercantile Cricket Association (MCA) Committee Veterans, led by incumbent President Mahesh de Alwis, will look forward to square the series when they meet the Colonel Henry Steel Olcott Memorial Sports Foundation (CHSOMSF), once again led by Arjuna Ranatunga, in their fourth annual T20 red-ball Cricket Encounter 2025, contested for the Bandula Warnapura Memorial Challenge Trophy, on Saturday, 29 March at the MCA Grounds, commencing 9:30 a.m. 

The CHSOMSF won the inaugural encounter in 2022 by 23 runs and followed with a 20-run win in 2023, while MCA Veterans, led by former MCA President Rohana Dissanayake, won the 2024 encounter with an eight-wicket win. All three encounters took place at the MCA Grounds, which were led by Arjuna Ranatunga.
