MCA “D” division 40 Over League progresses to semi-finals

The ongoing third “CBL-Munchee” Trophy/MCA “D” division 40 Over League Tournament 2023, reached its semi-final stage.

During last weekend, the four quarter-finals were played at the MCA Grounds where:

• MAS Bodyline beat Central Finance by seven wickets
• Airport and Aviation Services beat Melwire Rolling by the skin of their teeth by three runs
• David Pieris Motor Company “A” beat Trelleborg Lanka by 134 runs
• MAS – Unichela beat Colombo Dock Yard by eight wickets

The tournament will take breather during festive time and will get back on track with the semi-finals, in the new year as follows:

• First Semi Final: MAS Bodyline vs. Airport and Aviation Services on 3 January 2023 at the MCA Grounds
• Second Semi Final: MAS Unichela vs. David Pieris Motor Company “A” on 5 January 2023 at the MCA Grounds

The final is scheduled to be played on Sunday 8 January 2023 at the MCA Grounds.
