MCA “F” division 25 Over League semi-finals on Sunday

The semi-finals of MCA “F” Division 25 Over League Tournament will take place on Easter Sunday, 9 April between Expolanka Holdings and Astron Lanka at MCA and 3DH International and HNB “B” at Thurstan College grounds.

These teams emerged victorious at the quarter finals played on 5 April. The Quarter-Finals batting honours went to HNB “B” opening batsman, Mahasen Ranasinghe, who carried his bat out with an unbeaten 67 runs Vs. Nations Trust Bank ; the bowling spot was taken by Expolanka, Heshan Hewanayake who finished with an impressive figures of 5-22-5 Vs. Ceylon Tobacco.

Expolanka Holdings beat Ceylon Tobacco Co. by 90 runs; Expolanka – 199/6 (25) (L. Lakshitha 50, M. Chathuranga 65 not out) ; CTC – 109 (22.5) (Heshan Hewanayake 5 for 22).

Astron Lanka beat Standard Chartered Bank by 04 wickets; SCB – 119 (23.4) (Janith Liyanage 4 for 4) ; Astron Lanka -120/6 (23).

3DH International beat George Steuart Health by 07 wickets; GSH – 105(21.5) (Rosco Thattil 4 for 18) ; 3DH I – 107/3 (21.5).

HNB “B” beat Nations Trust Bank by 08 wickets; NTB – 135 (23.5) (O.S. Palihapitiya 4 for 16), HNB “B” – 138/2 (20.3) (Mahasen Ranasinghe 67 not out, Dinesh Panditharatne 50).
