MCA Open Snooker Championships 2019 semifinals this week

Milinda Mallikarachchi, Nadun Wijeratne, Tarindra Kaluperuma and M.A. Chaminda Madanayake advanced to the Semi Finals in the MCA Open Snooker Championships 2019, now in progress at the MCA Billiards & Snooker Room. 

The tournament is organised by the MCA other Sports Committee, headed by its Chairman H.U.U. Buddhima for the MCA members. 

The tournament was conducted on a league basis with the 12 participating players pooled into four groups (3x 4). 

Milinda Mallikarachchi headed Group “A”, beating Roshan Iddamalgoda, 52/36 and 66/45; and Sampath Amarakoon, 37/40, 44/32 and 69/56.

Nadun Wijeratne headed Group “B” beating Chamika Ambagahawatte, 50/29 and 77/70; and Uthpala Samindra, 75/37 and 53/40.

Tarindra Kaluperuma headed Group “C”, beating Kanchana Samarasinghe 60/50 and 61/19; and H.U.U. Buddhima, 58/18 and 65/48.

Chaminda Madanayake headed Group “D”, beating V. Sriharan 38/30 and 58/39; and Pasan Periyapperuma 28/37, 76/15 and 93/40.

The first Semi Final between Milinda Mallikarachchi and Nadun Wijeratne will take place on Tuesday, 14 May at 6 p.m.; and the 2nd Semi Final, between Tarindra Kaluperuma and Chaminda Madanayake will be played on Wednesday, 15 May at 6 p.m.
