MHA 9-a-side tourney kicks off tomorrow

The third edition of the Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA), 09-a-side Hockey Tournament 2023, which was earlier postponed due to adverse weather conditions, has been rescheduled to take place this Sunday, 19 November, at the Air force Hockey Grounds, Ekala.

MHA said 17 teams in 4 divisions pooled into 4 groups will be participating. 

Following are the respective divisions and their groups:

• “A” division: HNB “A” (2022 Winner), Sampath Bank “A” (2022 runners-up), MAS Holdings, Allianz Insurance “A” and Commercial Bank
•  “B” division: Hayleys Group (2022 winner), HSBC (2022 runners-up), John Keells Group and Browns Group “A” ( 2022 “C” winner)
•  “C” division: Seylan Bank (2022 runners-up), Nations Trust Bank (2022 “D” runners-up), Orient Finance and Airport and Aviation Services
• “D” division: Sampath Bank “B” (2022 winner) Browns Group “B”, HNB “B” and Allianz Insurance “B”
