The 44th edition of the magnificent Mercantile Hockey “Sevens” 2022, conducted by the Mercantile Hockey Association (MHA) was completed on 4 December at the P Sara Oval.
21 teams in six divisions participated.

- “A” division / 4 teams / contested for the Dennis De Rosayro Challenge Trophy: HNB and MAS Holdings; “A” was declared as joint winners, as the scorers were dead locked at 1-all at full time; Best Player MAS Holdings Saheed Kathubdeen
- “B” division / 4 teams / contested for the Singer Sri Lanka PLC Challenge Trophy Hayleys Group “A” beat HSBC, 1-Nil; Best Player Hayleys Group Bodhika Dias “A”; Bodhika Dias was also named as the Most Up & Coming Player of the tournament
- “C” division: 3 teams / contested for the Lifebuoy Challenge Trophy: John Keells Group “A” beat Browns Group “A”, 1-Nil; Best Player: John Keells Group Mandapa Pathirage “A”
- “D” division / 2 teams / contested for the Edmond J Cooray Challenge Trophy: Seylan Bank beat Nations Trust Bank (NTB), 1-Nil; Best Player – Seylan Bank M.J. Irshad
- “E” division / 3 teams / contested for the Ceylon Cold Stores Challenge Trophy: Ceylon Tobacco Company (CTC) beat Orient Finance, 2-1; Best Player: CTC Inam Ameen
