Madawala Madina College in the Central which in operation for the last 84 years will introduce rugby to its school from next month. The school from the Upcountry will play against Sarasavi Maha Vidyalaya on 14 December in Madawala in their Under-12 and Under-14 segment encounters.

The outfit is sponsored by one of their old boys who is residing in Australia and coached by Mohamed Jabbar, the former Kingswood and Kandy SC player who represented the country at Sevens. He is supported by former Air Force player Bandara.
