Major Club T20 cricket to commence from 4 March

The Major Club Twenty20 cricket tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket is scheduled to commence on 4 March with 26 clubs in contention.

The preliminary round matches will be run in four groups with the group winner and runner-up of each group qualifying for the knockout stages of the tournament – the Quarterfinals on 16 March, the semi-finals on 18 March and the final on 20 March.

The groupings is as follows.

• Group A: Badureliya CC, CCC, BRC, Negombo CC, Galle CC, Nugegoda S&WC, Kandy Customs CC
• Group B: NCC, Colts CC, Air Force SC, Lankan CC, SLPA SC, Bloomfield C&AC
• Group C: Chilaw Marians CC, SSC, Moors SC, Police SC, Kalutara TC, Kurunegala YCC
• Group D: Ragama CC, Army SC, Saracens SC, Panadura SC, Tamil Union C&AC, Navy SC, Sebastianites CC
