Major Club Under-23 Tournament commences today

Last year’s Moors SC v Ragama CC final in progress

Last year’s finalists Moors SC and Ragama CC have a free day when the SLC Major Clubs Under-23 tournament commences today with a card of seven matches.

The key game will be between Tamil Union and NCC at the P Sara Oval, while the CCC-Bloomfield fixture at Panagoda could also turn out to be a close affair.

Other matches down for decision are: Kurunegala YCC v Police SC at Welegedara Stadium, Kurunegala, Negombo CC v Ace Capital CC at Air Force grounds, Katunayake, SSC v Badureliya CC at SSC, Panadura SC v Nugegoda SWC at Panadura esplanade, and Colts CC v Kandy Custom SC at Colts.

In last year’s final Moors SC beat Ragama CC to win the title.
