Sri Lanka took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the 4-match Under-19 Women’s T20 series against Bangladesh when they won the second match played at Thurstan grounds yesterday by 65 runs.
On Sunday they had won the first match by 5 wickets at the same venue.
Sri Lanka Under-19 Captain Manudi Nanayakkara shone with the bat in yesterday’s game scoring a delightful half-century off 45 balls (5 fours, 1 six) and figuring in a 59-run stand with Dahami Senethma (25) to give them a total of 125-4.
Bangladesh’s batting was destroyed for 60 by the left-arm spin of Chamodi Praboda (3/13) and Aseni Thalagune (3/14).
The third match of the series will take place at Surrey Village, Maggona on 8 January.
