Saints Schools 9-a-side Hockey Tournament

St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy celebrated 80th anniversary 9-a-side hockey tournament which was won by St. Thomas’ College Matale who beat St. Aloysius’ College 2/0 in the Cup final which was worked off at St. Sylvester’s College ground recently.

In the Plate final Joseph Vaz beat Mount Lavinia Thomians 1/0 meanwhile St. Peter’s Colombo beat the hosts 1/0 in the Bowl final.

This event will be organised by the Old Boys Association of Sylvester’s College along with Old Sylvesterians’ Sports Club.

The following teams participated at this event:

St. Sylvester’s Kandy, St. Anthony’s Katugastota, St. John’s Jaffna, Matale Thomians, Matara Thomians, Mount Lavinia Thomians, Joseph Vas, St. Joseph’s Colombo, St. Peter’s Colombo, St. Benedict’s Colombo and St. Aloysius’ Galle.
