Mercantile Volleyball Tournament held for 8th consecutive year

The annual Mercantile Volleyball Tournament began on 7 September at the National Youth Centre in Maharagama, with an opening ceremony followed by the first of the preliminary matches.  

Organised by the Mercantile Volleyball Association, the purpose of the tournament is to foster goodwill and comradery among the local mercantile fraternity, while popularising the country’s national sport at the same time. Attending the ceremony as Chief Guest MAS Holdings Corporate HR Director Air Marshal Kolitha Gunathilaka, along with Sri Lanka Telecom CMO Prabath Dahanayake as the Guest of Honour.
