Sports Minister Roshan Ranasinghe meets Asia Rugby President Qais Al Dhalai

Asia Rugby President Qais Al Dhalai met Sri Lanka Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Roshan Ranasighe at the Asia Rugby office in Dubai to discuss matters relating to the suspended Sri Lanka Rugby.

It is confirmed that the Minister has requested in writing and verbally, an exception to be granted for the Sri Lanka Rugby national teams to take part at Asia Rugby Sevens which will be worked off in Thailand, UAE and South Korea. This request is likely to be put forward to the Executive Committee at its upcoming meeting.

It is likely that the national Sevens team, both Men’s and Women’s, will lock horns in the UAE and Korean leg of the AR 7s later next month. – SJ
