Moors SC who has played one game more displaced SSC at the top with 15 points.
Electing to bat first, Moors SC ran up an imposing score of 293-6 recovering from a bad start where the first three batsmen were dismissed for single digits.
Pasindu Sooriyabandara (96 off 103 balls, 8 fours, 1 six) and Mohammed Shamaaz (57 off 72 balls, 3 fours, 1 six) shared a 126-run stand which Chaturanga de Silva (33) and Janishka Perera (49*) built on. Colts were bundled out for 170 by Chaturanga de Silva who took four wickets with his left-arm spin.
In the only other match of the day Navy SC suffered their fourth straight defeat when they lost by 14 runs to Kandy Customs CC. Navy SC did well to dismiss Kandy Customs CC for 117 but found themselves in a tangle collapsing from 50-1 to 103 all out.
The damage to their innings was done by left-arm spinner Ayesh Harshana with a career best four for 21 supported by the off-breaks and left-arm spin of Mithun Jayawickrama and Methushan Thilina who shared the remaining six wickets between them. – (ST)
