Sri Lanka face a must win situation in their match against India at Kuala Lumpur today to remain in contention for a place in the final of the Under19 Women’s T20 Asia Cup.
Sri Lanka find themselves in this situation after their first match of the Super Four against Nepal yesterday ended in a no-result due to rain. Only one over was bowled and Sri Lanka batting first lost a wicket for one run before rain brought an early end. Both teams shared two points.
In the other match of the day India beat Bangladesh by 8 wickets to go on top of the Super Four table with 5 points, Bangladesh and Nepal are second and third with 4 points each. Sri Lanka are at the bottom with 3 points.
The top two teams in the Super Four league qualify for the final on 22 December.
