The Nondescripts Cricket Club (NCC) has congratulated one of its iconic sons, Kumar Sangakkara, on his induction to ICC’s cricket Hall of Fame.
Sangakkara was among 10 cricket icons who were inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame to coincide with the first-ever ICC test world championship final.
The 43-year-old former Sri Lanka Captain Kumar Sangakkara who began his Club Cricket Career at NCC in 1997 represented the Maitland Place Club for almost two decades before he retired from all forms of cricket in 2017.
In his international career Kumar Sangakkara accumulated over 27,000 runs which included 63 centuries and 145 half centuries in 134 tests,404 ODI’s and 56 T 20 internationals.
“The President, members of the Executive Committee and the entire membership takes this opportunity to congratulate Kumar on another phenomenal achievement in his illustrious cricket career that has made all Sri Lankans proud,” NCC said in a statement.
