NDB champions thrilling first leg of 78th Bradby Shield encounter

In a testament to the spirit of school rugby, NDB Bank, as the official event sponsor for Royal Rugby and the official team sponsor for Trinity Rugby, is thrilled to celebrate the exhilarating first leg of the 78th Bradby Shield encounter. 

The iconic match, held on 24 August at the Royal College Sports Complex, saw Trinity College, Kandy defeat Royal College with a final score of 17 to 16.

This year marks the third time NDB has partnered with both schools for this prestigious event, reflecting the bank’s ongoing commitment to empower youth and promote sportsmanship across the nation. The match not only highlighted the athletes’ skill and determination but also featured innovative engagement activities sponsored by NDB. 

During the match, the excitement extended beyond the field as NDB introduced a fun, interactive event for the spectators. QR codes were released via drone, inviting the audience to scan them and win exciting prizes, adding an extra layer of entertainment to the thrilling match.

In addition to celebrating this vibrant sporting event, NDB took the opportunity to engage with the youth and their parents present about its latest offering, NDB Pixel. This innovative digital account is designed for teens, aiming to encourage financial independence and savings from a young age. Through NDB Pixel, the bank seeks to empower the next generation of customers with the tools essential for their future success.
