NDB Chairman Sriyan Cooray, NDB Senior Vice President Personal Banking & Customer Experience Sanjaya Perera, rewards Thevein Perera of Royal College ‘Player of the Match’ at Bradby Shield Encounter
In a bid to further its efforts to empower youth and develop sports in the country, NDB Bank partners with the Bradby Shield Encounter for the third consecutive year, as the Main Event sponsor for the Royal College Rugby Season and as the Official Team Sponsor of the Trinity College Rugby Season for 2023.
Trinity College Kandy hosted the first leg of the 77th Bradby Shield Encounter played against Royal College at Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekele, with Trinity winning 13-10. Royal College defeated Trinity College 27-17 in the second leg, which took place at their home grounds. Royal won the Bradby Shield with an aggregate of 37 points compared to Trinity’s 30.

The Bradby Shield Encounter, commonly known as “The Bradby,” is the blue ribbon of Sri Lanka's school rugby season. It is played annually between traditional rivals Royal College, Colombo, and Trinity College, Kandy.
