NDB emerges as Best Athlete at ‘Mercantile Athletic Meet 2019’

NDB Athlete Sachith Perera felicitated with the Best Athlete Championship – Men and Best Athlete – Overall Meet trophies for the 2nd consecutive year  

NDB Athlete Sachith Perera was awarded the Best Athlete Championship – Men and Best Athlete – Overall Meet trophies for the second consecutive year. Meanwhile, the NDB Athletics Team was felicitated with four Gold Medals, eight Silver Medals and three Bronze Medals at the ‘Mercantile Athletic Meet 2019’ held at the Sugathadasa Stadium. 

The four Gold Medals were won by Chamara Jayasekara, Sachith Nilaksha Perera, Malik Khan Fernando and Chrishani Senaratne. Meanwhile, Punsara Jayalath, Malik Khan Fernando, Dickson Anthony, Amila Bandara, Sachith Nilaksha Perera, Harsha Jayasinghe, and Sachini Weerakkodi were awarded the eight silver medals and Buddhika Thenakoon, Amila Bandara and Punsara Jayalath were felicitated with the three Bronze Medals.
