NDB signs financing facility with Colombo Colts Cricket Club

NDB recently signed a financing facility with the Colombo Colts Cricket Club to provide funding arrangements to construct a building at the Club which includes a pavilion with a capacity of 80 seats, a state of the art gymnasium, multi-functional space to be used for a restaurant, back office space, etc. 

The signing took place at the Colombo Colts Cricket Club in the presence of NDB Chairman Eshana De Silva, Director/Group CEO Dimantha Seneviratne, Colts President Nishantha Ranathunga, Colts General Secretary Brigadier Shiran Abeysekara and Colts Committee members.

In addition to the financing facility, NDB also entered into a QR based payment solution via NDB NEOS Pay, for Colombo Colts Cricket Club clients and customers. This payment solution will give the customers the convenience of paying via the NDB NEOS app even if the customers do not have an NDB account. Customers can use the NDB NEOS QR solution to make payments via their NDB Bank account or their other bank accounts which can be registered on the same platform. 

The bank entered into this agreement with the Colombo Colts Cricket Club with the hopes of fostering the many positive qualities that can be found within sports in our society. Accordingly, the bank is focusing on the sporting arena in order to build the mental and physical well-being of the citizens of Sri Lanka.

In line with supporting endeavours such as these, the bank sponsored a number of major sporting events during the beginning of 2020 including the West Indies Tour of Sri Lanka 2020, the MCA Cricket tournament and the 76th Royal-Trinity Bradby Shield.

In continuing to support the sporting arena, the bank hopes to encourage and cultivate qualities that inculcate discipline, building character and comradeship in the society. In doing so, the bank hopes to instil in the customer that NDB will always be their Banking Partner, guiding them through their financial endeavours, thus paving way to sustainable banking.
