NEGC Club Championship 2021: Haroon Aslam to defend title

Young national golfer and Trinity College schoolboy Haroon Aslam will be defending his title at the Men’s segment at the 84th annual Nuwara Eliya Golf Club-Club Championship which will take place on 5 and 6 February at their golf

course in Nuwara Eliya.

Haroon overcame some tough moments on day 2 in the last event against Amrith De Soyza. Amrith went on to win the Annual Gold Medal and Longest drive for Men’s. Meanwhile in the Ladies event will see some top-class golfer Kaya Daluwatte being the top contender for the event.

This event started in 1933 being played in tandem for the last 84 years. (SJ)
