Nations Trust Bank (NTB) partners with Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) for five years of golfing partnership from 2024 to 2028.
This marked the continuation of the Nations Trust Golf Championship. This collaboration aims to bring together avid golf players, offering them the chance to participate in competitive golf tournaments while fostering a sense of camaraderie. The tournaments will be accessible to a large number of participants, including NTB customers who are members of RCGC, including the Bank’s Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking customers, American Express Card members, Private Banking members and FriMi customers.
NTB Chief Marketing Officer Sanjaya Senarath said: “We engaged with RCGC in response to the positive feedback we received from the golfing community following the tournament we hosted early this year. This partnership will allow us to offer an enjoyable experience to our customers and guests and we look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership.”
RCGC Captain Dr. Rohitha Silva said: “We are delighted to embark on a long term partnership with NTB. We believe that the tournaments that we host together will add to the enjoyment on the green for both professional and amateur golf players alike, and thereby contribute further to the growth of the golf sport.”
The tournaments will feature attractive trophies and prizes across various categories such as Men’s and Ladies, Masters and Seniors. Special awards will include Longest Drive at the 8th hole, Closest to Pin at the 13th hole, the NTB winner and Overall winner of the tournament.
NTB will also host a separate Junior Golf Tournament for children who are enthusiastic golf players and looking after the game at a very young age in a fast growing sport in Sri Lanka which could bring a medal at Asian Games.
