NTB rebounds to clinch two wins in MCA “C” division 50 Over League Tournament

Nations Trust Bank “A”, after losing to Commercial Bank earlier on, got back on track with two good wins on the trot, in the ongoing 08th Prestige Automobile Ltd. BMW/ Hyundai Trophy, MCA “C” division 50 Over League Tournament 2019, continued last weekend (9-10 February). 

NTB “A” beat Asia Asset Leasing by five wickets with 15 overs to spare, spearheaded by an excellent spell of bowling by Maneesha Thanthirigoda (10/2/36/4). A gutsy 46 not out by Sajith Perera paved the way for NTB “A” to their next win, as they narrowly beat Std. Chartered Bank by two wickets.

The weekend’s hero was Lasith Fernando, who hit a classic 116 runs, to carry Pyramid Wilmer to a six wickets win over Commercial Leasing.
