The Overall Winner with HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives CEO Mark Surgenor and RCGC Captain Dr. Rohitha Silva
HSBC Sri Lanka concluded its annual 5-Club Stableford Golf Tournament which was held for the 27th year at the RCGC, on 1 and 3 December.
The tournament which was oversubscribed this year, brought together over 230 avid golfers all RCGC members and many of them HSBC customers to showcase their skills and compete for the overall challenge trophy.
This year, HSBC also extended the privilege to win the overall trophy to all participating categories including Ladies and Seniors, supporting inclusivity in golf. The tournament not only highlighted HSBC’s commitment to fostering client relationships, but also emphasised the importance of well-rounded experiences beyond financial services.
Nadesan Krishnakumar was the Overall Winner of the tournament and winner in the C division. Gehan Siribaddana won the A division and Min Kyu Lee won the B division. Gnei Jehan Lye won the Ladies category and Lal Dias was the winner in the Seniors’ category.
The two-day tournament concluded with an entertaining awards ceremony held at the RCGC club house. HSBC is one of the largest supporters of Golf globally with several Golf events such as The Open in UK, The Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore and most recently the British Women’s Open Championship which was added to this global list. In Sri Lanka HSBC is one of the biggest supporters of the game with three other golfing events such as the much sought after and exclusive HSBC Premier Golf tournament where the two winners receive full hospitality to witness “The Open” Golf tournament in the UK, the HSBC Future Lions Junior Golf grassroots programme across the country and the Ladies Stableford Golf Classic at RCGC.
