Havelocks SC 31 points CH & FC 26 points

Havelocks Sports Club pulled off a close 31 points (3 tries, 2 conversions, 4 penalties) to 26 points (4 tries, 3 conversions) win over CH&FC in their Dialog Rugby League encounter, which concluded at the racecourse rugby grounds yesterday.

At halftime Havies led 18-7.

This was Havelocks’ third win out of the four games they have played so far but the win is far from impressive for the side who finished second to Kandy last year while the CH outfit beat CR and lost out to Kandy, Army and Havies and they have shown improvement and could be a major threat for the second round. The game was refereed by Priyantha Gunaratne.
