The Sri Lanka Golf Union (SLGU) selected the National squad recently after the trial encounters conducted at the Royal Colombo Golf Course (RCGC) early this month.
Eleven players were selected for the National Men’s squad and two players were selected for the National Women’s squad.
Meanwhile four players booked their place in the Men’s B while one player booked her berth in the Women’s Development Squad.
Giving encouragement for the youngsters SLGU also selected eight players for the Men’s C development outfit.
Some sensational young golfers are included in the National list. Yannik Kumara (British School) and Haroon Aslam (Trinity College) are two who got into the National outfit trainings.
Meanwhile 13-year-old Reshan Algama moved himself into the development outfit with his hard work, commitment and consistent performances in the recent past.
Training will resume once health conditions returns to normal.
