National Super League kicks off with two matches today

Sri Lanka Cricket’s elite five-team domestic cricket tournament the National Super League (NSL) will kick-off today with two limited-over matches to be played in Colombo.

Galle led by former Sri Lanka Captain Angelo Mathews will take on Colombo skippered by national white-ball Captain Dasun Shanaka at the SSC grounds.

The other match down for decision is between Jaffna led by Dhananjaya de Silva and Dambulla captained by Ashan Priyanjan at the P. Sara Oval.

The coaching staff of each of the five teams are as follows:

DAMBULLA: Avishka Gunawardene (Head Coach), Upul Chandana (Asst. Head Coach), Sajeewa Weerakoon (Asst. Coach), Saman Jayantha (Asst. Coach)

JAFFNA: Thilina Kandamby (Head Coach), Sachith Pathirana (Asst. Head Coach), Gayan Wijekoon (Asst. Coach)

COLOMBO: Ruwin Peiris (Head Coach), Dharshana Gamage (Asst. Head Coach), Dhammika Sudarshana (Asst. Coach)

GALLE: Jehan Mubarak (Head Coach), Sampath Perera (Asst. Head Coach), Chamila Gamage (Asst. Coach)

KANDY: Malinda Warnapura (Head Coach), Piyal Wijetunge (Asst. Head Coach), Dinuka Hettiarachchi (Asst. Coach), Shanuka Dissanayake (Asst. Coach)
