Navy Sports Club pulled off a fine 29 points (three goals, one 1 try, one penalty) to 14 points (two goals) win over Army Sports Club in their Inter-Club League rugby encounter, which concluded at Ratmalana yesterday.
At the short breather, the Sailors led 26/14.
Almost all the scoring was done in the initial half other than a solitary penalty by Navy SC in the later half.
The referee was Ishantha Abeykoon.
Today, the unbeaten Havies will battle it out with their traditional rivals CR and FC at Longdon Place. Tomorrow, there will be two games down for decision. Police and Air Force will play, with Police hoping to record their win in the League tournament after five appearances this season.
Meanwhile, the defending champions, Kandy SC, will be backed by their rugby-crazy full-packed stadium at Nittawela when they host CH and FC. Kandy should proceed without any major difficulty and continue their unbeaten run in the league.
