A new National Sports Council with some powerful members has been appointed yesterday to ensure greater success in the international arena.
These committee members appointed by Sports Minister Sunil Kuma Gamage will advise the Minister on the developments and regulations of each sport.
The Council members are: Chairman Priyantha Ekanayake, Samantha Nanayakkara, Rukman Wekadapola, Sidath Wettimuny, Chanaka Jayamaha, Rohan Abeykoon, Niroshan Wijekoon, Roshan Mahanama, C. Ratnamudali, Sriyani Kulawansa, Malik J. Fernando, Shanitha Fernando, and Murad Ismail. (SJ)
