Former Kingswood, Kandy SC and Navy SC player, Army SC, CR & FC, Sri Lanka Youth, Sri Lanka Sevens, Isipathana, Joes and Kingswood Head Coach Nilfer Ibrahim will be back in Colombo when he takes over St. Joseph’s College as their Head Coach for the 2020/2021 rugby season.

Nilfer was in charge of Kingswood, Trinity, Isipathana and the Joes rugby outfits at school level previously. Nilfer ended his short stint with the Randles Hill School in August. Nilfer took the Randles Hill School to a league win in 2008 and under Neil Footie’s consultancy in 2011, along with his own coaching; Trinity won the President Trophy under Murad Ramzeen and ended as the runner-up the following two years.
At Isipathana he enabled the outfit to take home three league titles and in 2014 made them triple champions. Furthering his coaching career at Joes, he oversaw the Darley Road school taking home the President Trophy win, which was a first for the school. The rest of the coaching staff will be appointed in the near future. (SJ)
